BBC的新劇-（The Deep） 將在8月3日播出
故事發生在一艘前往北冰洋進行考察的深海潛艇（俄耳甫斯號）上。
這艘潛艇上本打算尋找一種能製造生物燃料的生命體，但過程卻並不順利。
俄耳甫斯小組要去的目的地是羅蒙諾索夫海嶺。他們很快發現，那裡竟然另有一番天地，而且前去「研究」的不止他們。上一個小組的失踪與這些人有關嗎？這些人想要掩蓋什麼事？
災難再次發生，俄耳甫斯小組被一艘巨大的俄羅斯潛艇所救。
然而這艘潛艇看起來「空無一人」……
